Women's Health Central Opens Assessment Center
The new Women's Health Central Assessment Center recently opened in the Diagnostic Center building, located at the corner of Nicholasville Road and Southland Drive.
The Assessment Center welcomes women of all ages who want to learn more about their personal health risks and/or who are seeking health-related resources for themselves or their family.
(Mammography, bone density and other breast diagnostic services will remain on the main Central Baptist Hospital campus.)
The program is designed to provide women with risk factor screening, one-on-one counseling with a nurse clinician, development of a "personalized wellness plan" and referrals to needed services. A registered dietitian will also be available to assist with nutritional counseling. The center's goal is to work in partnership with women and their primary care physicians to decrease their risks and improve their overall health and well-being.
