In most families, women make the healthcare decisions. They bandage cuts and scrapes, sponge feverish foreheads and decide when it's time to call the doctor or head for the emergency room. Central Baptist offers programs to help women make better healthcare decisions for themselves and their families, such as:
- Physician Directory, to help you find a family physician or specialist to care for you or another family member.
- Medical Library, that lends circulating books and videos; performs computerized literature searches for patients and the public, provides student research services, answers reference questions, and assists with interlibrary loans.
- Health Talk, a speakers' bureau that provides free presentations to community groups, businesses, churches or civic organizations on a variety of health topics, such as menopause and hormone replacement therapy, breast health, osteoporosis and women & heart disease.
- Cancer Resource Library, which offers a wide variety of materials and information about cancer.
