Outpatient Surgery or Pain Management

If you are having outpatient surgery, you will receive a brochure from your physician. Your physician will add any special instructions you need to follow and orders for additional tests you may need to receive.

Endoscopy

If your physician has scheduled you for an outpatient endoscopic procedure such as an EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, bronchoscopy or ERCP, the procedure will be performed in one of Baptist-Physicians' Surgery Center's endoscopy suites. Going Home

When you are ready to leave, you may still feel drowsy. You may also feel a little sick to your stomach. Be sure you have an adult ready to drive you home. Before you leave, nurses will review home instructions. If you have concerns following your discharge, please contact your physician.
