Home Health Therapy and Rehabilitation

The road to recovery often includes regaining skills and function lost due to accidents, stroke or other illnesses. Therapy is available through Central Baptist Home Health Care to help you regain those lost skills and sometimes something even more important . . . your independence.

Physical Therapy

Our licensed physical therapists can design a program you can use at home to speed your recovery. They can help you increase your level of function by providing:
  • Gait training
  • Home adaptation
  • Home exercise programs
  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Transfer training

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy uses goal-directed activity to evaluate and treat people whose ability to function has been impaired by normal aging, illness, injury or developmental disability. Our therapists can teach you new or different ways to carry out daily tasks such as dressing and cooking. Occupational therapists can assist you with:
  • Activities to improve memory, planning and self-management skills
  • Adaptations for vision or hearing loss
  • Education and retraining in daily living skills
  • Home environmental design adaptation
  • Splints and adaptive equipment

Speech-Language Pathology

Helping you communicate effectively and swallow safely is the role of your speech-langauge pathologist. If you have a speech, language or swallowing problem, our pathologist will work with you to improve your skills so you can relate to the outside world with confidence. They will work with you to:
  • Correct or adapt to swallowing disorders
  • Develop oral and written communication skills
  • Help your family understand your communication problem
