Central Baptist's emergency department provides care for acutely ill or injured children who need medical treatment but can't wait until their doctors' regular office hours.

When your children are hurt or sick, you try to everything possible to relieve their pain. Illnesses and accidents, however, don't always occur when your doctor's office is open. That's why Central Baptist Hospital offers pediatric emergency services for children ages birth through 18 years.

At Central Baptist Hospital, one out of every four patients seen in our emergency department is a child. Children have distinct physiological developmental needs and we try to respond individually to their unique needs throughout our facility. That's why each child is accompanied by a family member or care giver throughout his or her stay in our department. This special support person is also given a copy of the child's plan of care from our professional emergency staff.
