Central Baptist Hospital's "Life with Diabetes" program provides comprehensive outpatient diabetes education in individual and group sessions.
About the Program
The "Life with Diabetes" program at Central Baptist Hospital is recognized by the American Diabetes Association as meeting or exceeding national standards.
Classes are taught by a certified diabetes educator, registered nurse, registered dietitian, pharmacist, physical therapist and motivational and stress counselor. The class setting provides excellent support for people who need to learn diabetes self-management skills. Both day and evening classes are available at 1720 Nicholasville Road (Building E), third floor. After completion of classes, a follow-up plan is developed to keep in touch with the person.
We also offer one-to-one counseling for patients and their families, including support in learning to cope with diabetes and sessions with a registered dietitian. Program staff will work with you to schedule an appointment that suits your busy schedule.
