Inpatient services consist of preoperative education, stoma site marking and post-operative education and management that include:
- self care

- establishing effective pouching system
- diet
- peristomal/stomal complication prevention

- rehabilitative care
Upon discharge, our services and experienced staff are available to you as a community resource for questions and concerns.
Outpatient Ostomy Services
If you are scheduled to undergo surgery for a colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy, we provide preoperative education to answer your questions and concerns before surgery. We also offer stoma site marking, which assists in decreasing long-term ostomy complications by identifying an area of the body that would promote pouching system adherence.
As you live life with an ostomy, many questions, concerns or issues may surface. If so, we provide ostomy education that includes:
- self-care
- lifestyle adaptation guidance
- supportive counseling
- rehabilitative care
- review and modification of malfunctioning pouching systems
- stoma complications
- peristomal skin complications
