The Neuroscience Center recently opened a new center called the Baptist Pain Medicine Center. The center will treat patients that have not responded to routine treatments for conditions such as: fibromyalgia, arthritis patients with inoperable back pain, chronic pain patients, etc.  

Kentucky native Dr. William Ackerman is the medical director of the Center.  Ackerman has been a leader in pain medicine research, particularly as it relates to reflex sympathetic dystrophy – a very difficult pain syndrome. 

The Baptist Pain Medicine Center at Central Baptist Hospital is located at 1780 Nicholasville Road, Suite 402 in Lexington, Kentucky.Center office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
