Central Baptist Hospital's Perinatal Bereavement Support Group is for families who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death.
The group is open to anyone who has experienced a loss regardless of how long ago the loss occurred or if the individual was a patient at Central Baptist. Parents may choose to talk or just listen. No one is asked to share if he or she does not feel comfortable doing so. A speaker is scheduled for each meeting to offer a brief presentation on a topic of interest to the parents. A perinatal bereavement support person facilitates each meeting.
The Perinatal Bereavement Support Group meets at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Hospice of the Bluegrass (Maurice Kaufman Hospice Center), 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington. Meetings are held in the Bluegrass Center for Grief Education and Counseling Building, Keeneland Room (in the basement). The parking lot may be entered from Greatstone Point or Gulfstream Drive off Alexandria Drive. Enter through the doors facing the parking lot. Upcoming meeting date(s) are:
