Education Center

Combining elegance with function and comfort, the new Central Baptist Hospital Education Center in the lower level of the 1720 Building is home to hundreds of staff education classes, physician meetings and community education classes.

The center offers classrooms and a large auditorium that can accommodate gatherings of various sizes.

The Auxiliary Auditorium, funded in part by the hospital auxiliary, seats 150 with classroom-style seating or up to 250 in theater-style seating. The auditorium is surrounded by soundproof walls and may serve as a sound and production area.

An art glass wall graces the exterior of the auditorium. Told through symbols such as a cross and a dove, the theme of the glass wall is the enlightenment of godly wisdom in education and its application to daily living.

Five classrooms line the "grand exhibit hall" of the Education Center, and another classroom is located around the corner. Some classrooms can expand and may hold up to 56 people when they’re combined.

The Education Center also features state-of-the-art technology. Touch-screen controls at lecterns in the auditorium and classrooms allow presenters to use PowerPoint, slides, videos, CDs and DVDs – anything and everything a presenter might need to deliver a dynamic presentation.

Other features include:

  • A full-service kitchen tucked away in the center allows CBH’s food services to cater anything from a small meeting to a full banquet. (The grand exhibit hall can be arranged for banquet seating.)
  • The "green room" is located within the Education Center office suite and is designed to provide speakers and instructors with any amenity they may need to prepare for their program, including a computer and a copier.

If you’re attending a class in the Education Center, parking is available in the parking lot in front of the 1720 Building and in the garage attached to the 1720 Building.
