Lexington's summertime tradition, A Midsummer Night's Run, will mark its 20th anniversary this year when runners and walkers hit the streets of downtown at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7.

Earlier in the evening, kids 12 and under will once again compete in the Fastest Kid in Town race, and everyone enjoys the warm-up to the 5K run, the One-Mile Fun Run/Walk. Last year, around 6,000 participants took to the streets for the activities.

Events begin at 6 p.m., and several downtown streets begin closing at 4 p.m.
