Description: The purpose of this study is to compare the effects (good and bad) of brain irradiation with the standard treatment of observation to see if brain irradiation results in patients living longer. In fifty percent of patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer, the cancer will spread to the central nervous system at sometime during the course of their disease.

 

Population: Patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
