Description of the trial: The purpose of this clinical trial is to determine whether blood that has been mixed with a solution of saline and hyperbaric levels of dissolved oxygen after successful angioplasty/stenting improves outcomes for heart attack patients compared to standard-of-care treatment.
Population: Patients experiencing persistent chest pain lasting <24 hrs. prior to entry into the cardiac catheterization lab.
