Policy Changed to Allow Siblings
Effective as of December 8, 2009, Central Baptist Hospital is allowing siblings of newborns and pediatric patients in its Maternity (Labor & Delivery, Antepartum Unit, Mother/Baby and NICU) and Pediatric areas.
The visitation restriction in the Maternity and Pediatric areas is still in effect for visitors who are younger than 18 and are not siblings, a parent or spouse of a patient.
In October, CBH restricted all visitors younger than 18 in the Maternity and Pediatric areas due to the significant presence of influenza in our community. The hospital has been monitoring community flu levels and has decided to lift the visitor restriction to include only siblings of newborn and pediatric patients.
The hospital will continue to monitor community flu incidences and will make changes to the visitation policy reflecting risk levels.
We appreciate your understanding and support at this time.
