Mammography
As a woman, you have a one in eight chance of developing breast cancer during your lifetime. Mammography along with monthly breast self-examination and annual physical exams can help detect breast cancer in its early, most treatable stages - up to two years before it is large enough to be felt. That's why the American Cancer Society has published the following screening mammography guideline for women with no history of breast disease:
Beginning at age 40, all women should have a mammogram every year
State-Of-The-Art Mammography
Each of our mammography suites is equipped with state-of-the-art digital equipment to produce sharp, clear images of the breast tissue. The system is so sensitive, it can detect tiny microcalcifications in the breast, often the very first sign of cancer.
We use ImageChecker Technology. This system acts as a "second look" on all of our mammograms.
Fast Results
We understand that waiting for mammography results can be stressful. Annual screening mammograms are interpreted within 24 hours, so you receive your results quickly. We are proud to offer same-day results on diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds. Our radiologists will interpret your breast diagnostic studies at the time of your appointment.
