Central Baptist's Heart and Vascular Institute

The Central Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute is one of the busiest and most respected heart programs in the Commonwealth.

Each year, thousands of Kentuckians put their trust in our teamwork, technology and research when they choose the Central Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute to provide their cardiac care.

The mission of the Central Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute is to provide unsurpassed cardiac care. We are committed to providing quality care and leading-edge technology, coupled with compassionate care and a concern for the person as a whole. That's the reason that some of the most experienced physicians and staff choose to practice at the Central Baptist Heart and Vascular Institute.

Teamwork

Central Baptist's leadership and commitment to healthy cardiac care began in 1967 when we opened one of Kentucky's first coronary care units. We performed our first catheterization procedure in 1980 and our first open heart surgery in 1982. The Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute is one of the largest and most experienced cardiac programs in the commonwealth. This extensive experience has drawn together a cohesive team of cardiac specialists representing the finest in their respective fields. Because cardiovascular disease has many facets and stages, we offer a complete range of services, including prevention, education and rehabilitation. This team approach ensures that the patient is seen and treated as a whole person, from diagnosis to recovery. It has also culminated in the formation of the Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute, one of the most progressive and leading-edge facilities of its kind.  The physicians who practice at the Institute are some of the most experienced physicians in the state.  Over 50 physicians practice at the Institute.
