Working With the Media
Contact the Baptist Health Lexington Marketing and Public Relations department at (859) 260-6592 when you need a resource for a health-related story. We will get in touch with the appropriate person or persons and arrange for an interview, photo opportunity or other request. Other Baptist Health Lexington staff will refer any media calls they receive to us, so calling us directly will save you time.
After 5 p.m. on weekdays, on the weekends or holidays, please call the Baptist Health Lexington switchboard at (859) 260-6100. The switchboard will page the on-call PR representative to assist you. If you need to cancel or change the scheduled time for an interview, please notify the Marketing and PR department as soon as possible by calling (859) 260-6592. We will then inform the appropriate people, and, if necessary, make new arrangements for your visit.
News releases about classes and events at Baptist Health Lexington are sent out regularly to area media outlets. Please call us at if you, or a specific reporter, would like to receive our news releases directly.
On-campus escort
All media representatives must be escorted on the Baptist Health Lexington campus by a Marketing and PR representative. This policy helps to ensure that the privacy of our staff and patients is respected. It also helps reporters and photographers get to where they are going much more quickly -- without getting lost.
The hospital's Security department is advised of each anticipated media visit. If the Security department is not informed of your visit, delays could be experienced. Media representatives without a Marketing and PR escort will be asked to wait until a proper escort can arrive.
In most instances, media representatives will be asked to come to the lobby of the hospital's main entrance to meet a Marketing and PR escort.
